Minor
The quarter final of the minor championship took place against Augher on Tuesday night. Ardboe entered this game as stong favourites and were very unfortunate not to be taking their place in the semi-final in the coming weeks. Ardboe opened the scoring with a point from Conan Campbell. Augher then went two points in front with a well taken goal. Ardboe followed with another Conan Campbell point and Augher responsed a few minutes later with their first point of the evening. In the 10th minute Ardboe were awarded a free, converted by Michael Cassidy. This was followed by another two points for Ardboe, a third for Conan Campbell and one for Michael Lynn. Ardboe were then awarded penalty in the 15th minute. This was taken by Conan Campbell who hit the back of the net leaving Ardboe 3 points in front. Augher responded to the Ardboe surge with a second goal to bring the sides level after 20 minutes of play. Again Ardboe applied the pressure and Conan Campbell hit the net for a second time in what was Ardboes last score of the first half. Augher were awarded a free in the 25th minute which brought them within 3 points of Ardboe at the half time whistle. Half time score Ardboe 2-06 Augher 2-03. In the second half Conan Campbell again opened the scoring for Ardboe with a well taken point. Augher then hit 4 unanswered points, two from play and two from frees which brought the sides level after 10 minutes of play. Ardboe were then awarded five frees in succession which were superbly kicked over the bar by Michael Cassidy, bringing his tally to seven for the night. With less than five minutes of play remaining Ardboe were five points in front, however Augher starting applying the pressure hitting three points in quick succession. In the final minutes of play Augher were able to keep possession of the ball and worked it down the pitch eventually finding the back of the Ardboe net. This put Augher one point in front. Ardboe, trailing by one point, gained possession but Augher’s defense prevented an equalising point and with a well worked move up the field Augher hit the net for the fourth time finishing the game four points in front of a devastated Ardboe side. Full time score Augher 4-10 Ardboe 2-12. The minor league play off against Trillick is on Tuesday 6th July at 7.30pm in Ardboe.

John McConville then opened the scoring for the Rossa’s with a point after 5 minutes. This was followed by a point from Frank McGuigan. Kildress soon levelled with a point from play and one converted free. Ardboe then hit two unanswered points, one from Kyle Coney and one from Shea McGuigan. Kildress responded with a third point. In the 20th Minute Kyle Coney was awarded a free which he slotted easily over the bar. Kildress then hit another two points to level the sides for a second time.
