In the 1st games of the new season, Ardboe faced newly promoted neighbours Derrylaughan and were fortunate with a 10 a piece draw in the senior game against a 14 man team for the 2nd Half. The reserves faired out worse with a 3 point defeat on a score line of 2-8 to 11 points
