What is Cairde Ard Bó?
Cairde Ard Bó is the latest fundraising effort by Ardboe O’Donovan Rossa GAC. The scheme is being launched along with our Club Development Plan 2014-2020 with the purpose of involving you in playing your part in the future development of our club and community in the coming years. In short, Cairde Ard Bó is about generating success both on and off the field
What will Cairde Ard Bó achieve?
We stretch our facilities to the full because we have become a victim of our own success. We have youth teams from Gaelic Start (U6) and from U8 right through to Minor level in both Mens and Ladies football, as well as our U21, Reserve and two Senior sides at Adult level. That is 18 teams in total representing Ardboe. In addition to this, the Club is again focusing on building our Scór and Scór na nÓg participation over the coming years. We want to involve people from all across the Ardboe community in what we do. We also work closely with our local Primary School to promote our games and events with all our youth. Our main aim is to increase the number of people we cater for during any given week. Improving community participation not only has immeasurable social benefits, but also improves health and well-being of the entire community. In short, we want to help make Ardboe a better place for us all.
Cost?
£180 per year donation by one of the following methods:
£15 per month paid by Direct Debit or
£180 per year paid by cash or cheque
There is also a Husband & Wife package available for £200 per annum.
Where does the money go?
Every penny raised through Cairde Ard Bó will go straight to the Club Development as laid out in our Plan for 2014-2020. Some of the exciting developments planned for the coming years include:
• Redevelopment of our pavilion
• Improving facilities on our training pitch
• Improvements to our main pitch; new fencing, catchnets etc
• A perimeter walking path of both pitches
• Redevelopment of the school pitch
• A 3G and Ball Wall area developed alongside the Primary School
What do I get for donating?
The reason for donating is that you agree with what we are doing here in the Ardboe area. You agree that a strong GAA Club in the enriches the lives of everyone in the community, you agree with all the work we do for the youth of Ardboe and you agree that we should continue to provide first-class facilities for everyone in the local community to avail of.
As a token of appreciation each member of Cairde Ard Bó will be entitled to Full Membership of Ardboe O’Donovan Rossa GAC (also extends to the Husband & Wife package), will receive a unique piece of Caide Ard Bó apparel and your children will receive entry to Camp Rossa free of charge.
