This weeks notes…
As the club year draws to a close, in 2007 we can celebrate our 60 years since affiliation in February, but as convention approaches there is many people and friends that need a big thank you for their help, time and support through the year. Firstly to all the youth and underage managers who gave up their time to train and travel with our teams in the majority of cases to away venues across the county. To our youth officer and the youth sub-committee who helped with the development our of teams and also the organising events in relation to them. We also thank the players and their parents also for their time and support over the past year.
Although at senior level there was no silverware, we again thank the management, trainer and selectors for their help and time and to the players for their commitment on a long season.
The club of course survives on our great lotto sellers, who every Friday evening turn in their tickets. You’re hard work ensures that the club can function daily and provide the best resources for our teams. We thank our committee members, refereeing officials for their work during the year and also to our general members for their support.
Of course it’s been another hard year with no home football field and it was another year travelling here and there to play matches. We thanks the following clubs for the gracious use of their facilities; Ballinderry, Moortown, Derrylaughan, Broacagh, Edendork and Stewartstown.
The parish centre also has allowed us to run several functions along with the weekly lotto and we again thank them for the use of their facilities.
As many different developments including our two new Prunty pitches and floodlight installation have take place over the year, we thank those and the ground sub committee who gave up their time to help with the ongoing work around Michael Coney park.
We also pass on our condolences and prayers for all those members, fiends and supporters who have passed away during the year.
Finally thanks to anyone who helped, supported, donated etc. in anyway possible as it is impossible to mention everyone and apologies if we have forgotten.
This week’s lotto no’s were: 7, 13, 15 and 25. Match 3 winners: Paul Coney, Conal Quinn, T. McCullagh, Carmel Agnew and Carmel Hagan. Next Weeks Jackpot: £2700.
As it is down to a matter of weeks to our Gala Dinner, preparations are now almost complete and the majority of the events finer details are now being completed. Accommodation is still available for the night, anyone interested please contact Neil Coney on 86736208.
