The Minors bowed out of the League last night after another extra time battle with Errigal Ciaran. After a shaky opening when Errigal Ciaran went 4 points up, the Rossa's hung on and reduced the deficit to just one at half time with a goal from Steven O'Shea. After the game the lead swapped hands several times, with Shea McGuigan firing a second goal for Ardboe to put them two points ahead. However, the lead didnt last long as Errigal Ciaran struck straight back with a goal of their own. Kyle Coney looked to have sealed victory with a fine point as the game entered injury time, but credit to Errigal who answered with a score of their own to force extra time.
In extra time, Errigal again took the lead with a sharply taken goal, but the Rossas fought back to close the gap again to a single point. However, they could not find the score they needed to force the replay, and ended up on the losing side of a 4-10 to 2-14 scoreline.
Hard luck lads, but all preparation now turns to the Minor Championship semi-final where the lads take on Dromore, date and venue is yet to be arranged
