This Weeks notes…
The U14’s began their league campaign last Saturday away to Donaghmore. In a very high scoring and entertaining game they came out on the wrong side of a 4-12 to 4-7 score line. Best on the day for Ardboe were Conan Campbell, John McAuley and Sean Teague. Scorers were Conan Campbell (3-1), Ryan Wilkinson (0-2), Michael Cassidy (0-2), Oliver Mallaghan (0-1) & Ollie Coyle (1-1). Anyone within the Club, who is interested in becoming a referee at any level including ladies, should make themselves known to anyone within the Committee as soon as possible. Membership is now been taken for 2007. Please get in contact with registrar James Wylie for more information. Fees for 2007 are: Adult/Full: £50 Student/Retired: £25 and youth £5. There will be a youth fundraising night in Ardboe Parish Centre on Easter Sunday night at 8.30pm. Entertainment by Michael Coleman will be provided on the night and tickets are priced at £5 and are available from most committee and youth sub committee members. This year’s 2007 Tyrone summer camp date has been set for the 13th – 16th August and all been well it will take place in Michael Coney park this year. Application forms will be available in the coming months and we remind all those young people who intend to go to please get their forms back asap to ensure you receive your kit. We pass on our congratulations to Greencastle on securing their All Ireland title at the weekend. This years St Patrick’s Day Collection will take place this weekend at the Church of the Blesses sacrament, Ardboe. We ask for your continued generosity that will see a group of young people further their understanding and speaking of the Irish language. This week’s lotto no’s were: 2, 4, 11 and 12.
