The preliminary round of Scór Sinsear took place in Dean Maguirc High School, Carrickmore, on Sunday night. The club were well represented by Michelle Mooney in Amhránaíocht Aonair (Solo-singing) and by Patricia Harte (née Quinn), Desmond Devlin and Malachy Ó Néill in Tráth na gCeist (Quiz). While Michelle was most unfortunate not to progress to the next round from a very strong field (15 singers in all) the quiz team made it through to the semi-final to be held in Eglish at 7.00 p.m. this Sunday evening.
